Peace By Chocolate

Peace by Chocolate is proud to partner with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in the creation of these wonderful bars.

WUSC is a Canadian non-profit organization working to create a better world for all young people. Fostering youth-centered solutions for improved education, economic, and empowerment opportunities to overcome inequality and exclusion in over 15 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas, including right here at home!

$1.00 from every bar sold will go to funding the WUSC Student Refugee Program!

This program is the only one of its kind to combine resettlement with opportunities for higher education, and has been changing lives for young refugees for over 40 years.

In late 2012 the original Hadhad family chocolate factory in Damascus, Syria was destroyed in a bombing that forced their family to leave everything behind and flee to Lebanon.  For three years they found themselves as refugees with little opportunity or hope. Nitap Bars are a fundraising bar to benefit nitap cultural programming within the community of the Paq'tnkek Mi'kmaw Nation, just east of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Profits from the sale of these bars will be donated to the Paq'tnkek Band Council.
