Soul Chocolate

ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE: Coffee and chocolate have a lot in common. Both come from a fruit and are picked when ripe. The seeds are fermented, dried, and roasted. And, they're both really delicious!  We added fresh roasted, single origin coffee from our friends over at Pilot Coffee.

We refine their beans alongside our cacao for 48 hours, creating a coffee like beverage in bar form.

TASTES LIKE: If we somehow managed to transform your favourite mocha (expertly made from your friendly, local barista) into pure chocolate bar goodness. The coffee isn't overpowering, but blends perfectly into the creamy dark milk chocolate base.

Back in 2019, we traveled to Kerala, India in search of specialty cacao. We met some fantastic people producing some of the best cacao we have had the pleasure of sampling. Although we did not come back with our suitcases full of cacao, we did however return with an abundance of spices, panela (small batch cane sugar), and Assam tea.

Tasting Notes:

You have just poured yourself a nice cup of tea! We refined the Assam tea directly into the milk chocolate base. The tea on its own is rather intense and slightly astringent but the sweetness from the chocolate balances it out nicely.
